Brandon Williams Waived

Chalk up another wasted draft pick. (3rd round, 2006) was waived today. This move is hardly surprising as Williams only role on the team has been as punt returner and has been mediocre at that.

To take his place on the roster, the 49ers signed veteran WR/PR Michael Lewis in hopes of bringing some stability to their return game. Lewis played six seasons in New Orleans, four of which were with current 49ers special teams coach Al Everest.

Right, back draft pick and hope the Leis group will help. The 49ers need to take the sea birds this weekend
