49ers lose 6th straight, Willis breaks hand

After starting out a lackluster 2-0, the 49ers have managed to lose their 6th straight in a very convincing fashion to a lousy Falcons team 20-16. Sloppy play, poor playcalling and poor ball security have led to this 6 game meltdown. Atlanta is a team in crisis, yet they handled the 49ers well and had the upper hand from their second possession forward.
The defense started out slowly, being gashed by
Warrick Dunn early and giving up two TDs in the first half. In the second half yielding only 2 FGs, but the offense failed to come through in the end.
The offense was up and down, having a certain amount of success against a lackluster Falcons defense. A considerable effort was made to get
the ball, who had a strong game with 6 receptions.
looked terrible, with a 45% completion rate and 3 interceptions.

From one first rounder who is well on his way to being a bust, to one that is on his way to the Pro Bowl as a rook... according to
Matt Barrows,
sustained a broken hand during the game. He played his senior season at Ole Miss with a cast on the same hand and won't likely miss any time. Willis never left the game and led the defense with 10 tackles and a sack.
