Monday, February 4, 2008 | Niner Cap Hell

The 49ers and agreed to a 3 year deal today. Hill, who was an impending unrestricted free agent, showed poise, accuracy, instincts, smarts and a quick release - a far cry from what quarterbacks and showed before going down with injuries.

The deal is believed to be worth $6 million, including a signing bonus of about $2 million and playing-time incentives that could push the total to $11.5 million.

The team also hired former Dolphins RB coach Tony Nathan and promoted Trent Baalke to director of player personnel.

Do you think we can trade Alex Smith for a 7th rounder now?

F**K that, Alex Smith will be the starter

I agree that Smith will be the starter. Your not gonna pay the man that much to backup when he is healthy. Lets see if Martz can wave that wand of his. Remember, you don't have to score a ton of points, just keep that defense off the field longer.
