49ers crush the Lions, 31-13

Yeah, you read that right. The 49ers actually completely dominated another team. When was the last time you saw them whoop anyone's butts in a regular season game other than their own? 2003? It could be that the team has actually improved now that
Alex Smith is not starting and
Mike Martz is running the offense, or that the Lions are actually THAT bad. Methinks its a little bit of both. One thing for sure though -
J.T. O'Sullivan is certainly a competent quarterback. That's already a 100% upgrade over his predecessor - hence why the offense is actually functional. The defense came through and shut down the Lions' star wideouts and also kept their mediocre ground game from doing anything significant.
Arnaz Battle even had a nice return on an onside kick. The 49ers finally beat a team they were
supposed to beat. Utterly amazing.
Keep it up, winning is good for the soul.
