Former 49ers running back Lenvil Elliott passed away at age 57 in Richmond, MO this past Sunday. He spent the final three years of NFL career after Bill Walsh, who coached him in Cincinnati, brought him over to SF due to his receiving skills. He was a perfect complimentary player to BW's offense and a key contributor to the team's first Super Bowl run.|

I played QB my senior year at Northeast Mo. State when Lenvil was a junior tailback. We were undefeated in our conference because of him. In each of our six conference wins he had a TD run or catch of at least 50 yards. The Univ. of Missouri told him he was too small to play there and there many of his former teammates who are glad they did! |
