Niners whoop the Rams

Mike Singletary notched his first ever win as a headcoach after last week's heartbreaking loss at Arizona by knocking out the overmatched Rams 35-16. All three facets of the team were firing on all cylinders in a very impressive first half showing where on offense the team moved the ball with ease, protected the quarterback and ran all over the defense while the defense forced two interceptions and had
Allen Rossum had some nice returns to put the offense in good field position.
Shaun Hill was calm and collected and put up an extremely efficient 12 of 14 first half and three touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing) leading the offense to 28 points in the second quarter for a 35-3 halftime lead.
Frank Gore also had a solid showing, putting up 106 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 18 carries after a bad fumble at the conclusion of a breakaway run to start the game. The defense played very well in the first half, putting on constant pressure on
Marc Bulger and reducing the Rams to short plays that got shut down quickly for minimal gains.
The Niners went into a very questionable ultra-conservative mode in the second half which resulted in no points scored while allowing the Rams to put up 13. Coach Singletary should probably rethink that strategy, as a better team than the Rams would probably pull of a real comeback against it. With Hill's pension for smart play and ability to reduce turnovers in general, it would have been nice to see the team keep aggressive for several more drives and add more points on the scoreboard.
Overall though, nice to see the team kick ass for the Assman, even if it was against the Same Old Sorry Ass Rams.
