Following the season-ending ACL tear of veteran starter Walt Harris, the 49ers wasted no time in replacing him. Former Ram, Lion and Bronco Dre' Bly was signed today to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum of $845,000. The 5'10 186 lb Bly has been a bit of a gambler throughout his career, making plenty of plays on the ball with interceptions but also getting torched quite often as well. He is a two-time Pro Bowler but was released by the Broncos this off-season after two very disappointing seasons floundering in awful defenses.
