Per Adam Schefter, the 49ers have agreed to terms with veteran right tackle Tony Pashos on a one year contract for a shade under $2 million. The 6-6, 326 lb Illinois alum was released on Saturday by Jacksonville. He was a 31 game starter for them during two seasons in Jacksonville and originally was drafted by Baltimore (23 starts) in the 5th round in 2003.

Diyral Briggs was waived to make room for Pashos and the team is hoping he'll clear to be signed to the practice squad. Observers noted that Briggs was the teams' best pass rusher during the offseason.
