Staley, Clements gone for 6 weeks

Following a tough 18-14 loss to the Colts, where the defense gave Peyton Manning a very tough time all day and the Jekyll & Hyde offense looked good in the first half but then became listless in the second half, the 49ers learned the fates of their injured players.
Joe Staley, who had his knee rolled up on top of during the first play from scrimmage, was diagnosed with damage to his MCL and PCL and will be gone for six weeks. Barry Sims, who looked awful last season filling in at right tackle after Jonas Jennings went down with injury, but had a stellar career starting for the Raiders, seemed very comfortable taking over yesterday in his old position. He will be the starter until Staley returns.
Nate Clements will be gone six to eight weeks after fracturing his shoulder blade during a punt return in the second quarter. Tarell Brown was already starting in his place against Indianapolis, and will continue to be starter.
Demetric Evans will be also be gone for three weeks with a shoulder sprain.
