#182: 49ers draft Nate Byham

The 49ers have added a blocking specialist with Pittsburgh's big tight end
Nate Byham.
The 6-4, 268 lb Byham was one of two TEs that Pitt employed regularly across from
Dorin Dickerson.
Byham is known for having reliable hands while having the size, strength and blocking skill to succeed as a professional inline blocker at his position.
He will compete with vets
Joe Jon Finley and
Tony Curtis for the 3rd spot behind starters
Vernon Davis and
Delanie Walker.
