Matt Maiocco reports that
David McCloughan, younger brother of former GM
Scot McCloughan, will be relieved of his duties as director of college scouting. The team has taken away his computer and informed him he will not be with the organization much longer. David had been with the Oakland Raiders before
Mike Nolan hired he and his brother shortly after taking over in San Francisco.
The National Football Post reports that veteran scout
Joel Patten will be hired to replace McCloughan. Patten previously worked with GM
Trent Baalke with the Washington Redskins.
