The former first rounder's career in San Francisco came to an end today when the 49ers dealt him to the Redskins for WR
Taylor Jacobs, a former second round pick.
Rumph's departure hardly comes as a shock with all the rumors circulating this offseason about him being on the chopping block, in addition to his poor showing on Friday night, missing several tackles and being caught out of position several times.
He becomes the latest addition to the long list of players brought in by the Terry Donahue regime that have been cut or traded.
