7 players cut as team gets to 80 active players

The 49ers have announced their cuts to get down the mandated 80-man active roster.
Released players included recently signed P Sam Paulescu, who was signed for last weeks game against the Texans. This release must mean Andy Lee is fully ready to punt.
The other 6 released are were, RB Seth Smith, WR's Tyler Beiler & Kevin Jurovich, C Nick Howell, OG Donovan Edwards, and ILB Scott McKillop.
The only real surprise is McKillop. The former standout at Pittsburgh was expected to compete for a backup ILB spot.
Now the 49ers will have to cut down from 80 to 53 this coming weekend after their preseason finale at San Diego.
