Source say Gore will sign 3yr/$21M extension

According to ProFootballTalk, the 49ers and Frank Gore have agreed to a 3yr/$21M extension, which includes $13.5M in guarantees.

Coupled together with his last year from his previous deal, he can make $25.9M over 4 years.

Gore, 28 years old, is entering 2011 with his 2nd extension, and 3rd contract overall.

Gore a former 3rd-round pick in 2005, he has 6,414 career yards, Gore is No. 3 on the team's all-time rushing list, trailing only Roger Craig (7,064) and the late Joe Perry (7,344).

has a total Gore 35 touchdowns rushing, while he has caught 270 passes for 2,283 yards and nine touchdowns.

Through his career, Gore has missed 10 games, and last year he was placed on IR with a hip injury.
